I just watched Fried Green Tomatoes for the first time with my mother.
Other than the great plot and talented cast, I was mostly won over by the 1930's dresses that Ruth (Mary Louis Parker) wore throughout the film.
Take a peek...
I couldn't find a lot of photographs where her lovely frocks where properly showcased, but you get the idea. Not to mention her beautiful hair. How did they do that?!

Wonderland
I have been looking at a lot of Lewis Carroll's photographs of young girls lately (yes, the author of Alice in Wonderland, for those of you who did not know he was also a photographer!)
His work has been a big inspiration to my work recently. I'll be posting my final portfolio here soon- I just finished making eight 17 x 22" prints for my final critique. The large size intimidated me at first, but it's been so amazing seeing my work that large!

So as I mentioned before, my boyfriend and I dressed as Jack and Rose Dawson for Halloween. I was really excited with how we looked once everything was all put together. I must admit, I feel as though I had a bit of Halloween over-kill this year, I spent the three nights leading up to the actual holiday celebrating it with various events. Regardless it was lovely to have the boyfriend up for the actual day of, and he even spent an extra night so we could see the final installment of Saw in 3-D.
But now! I am officially done with Halloween. I took down the cobweb and jack-o-lantern decorations and even swept away the actual cobwebs in the apartment. I was thrilled to log on to my favorite craft blog (www.oneprettything.com) and see this on the first page:
Woo-hoo! I am so ready to start thinking about Thanksgiving (and Christmas!)

Inspiration
Dream living room. Ivy growing out of the walls!? Yes, please.
Dream bedroom. I love the wallpaper and old pink vanity.
Hoping to compile/find a dress similar to this for halloween! My boyfriend is being Jack...Swoon!
And me just for fun, my outfit the other day!
